Those of you looking for some inspiration for your engagement shoot, listen up! HM Directory Vendor, one of our faves (and friends), Joel of Barefoot & Bearded, was in the Faroe Islands recently- and has brought us back inspo for days! This crazy-rugged and remote location has us dreaming of a wedding in the middle of the mountains (check out Jade & Joey’s Wentworth Falls elopement).
Now, if you’re like us, and haven’t heard of this faraway place before, don’t worry, we asked Joel to tell us more… “It is a string of 18 Islands that are based in between Iceland and Norway,” he says. We dug a little deeper in case this feature inspires you to venture that way, and it sits in the Kingdom of Denmark. Honeymoon anyone?
It’s clearly one of the more more unique photoshoots we’ve seen, and adding to that is the gorgeous couple, Ari and Hjooordis. We can’t get over their matching sweaters! “They were super keen to adventure around this little town called Saksun,” explains Joel. “We started around the local Faroese houses, followed by a walk down onto the local beach, where we scored insane light and got some wicked photos,” he adds. We couldn’t agree more, and so we wanted to share them with you, our dear readers.
