Today we introduce you to Ali and Eddie, a couple who certainly know how to have a good time. Captured by one of our favourite wedding photographers The White Tree, Ali and Eddie’s day was all about bringing people back to nature.
“A key detail that we focused on was the venue.When selecting the host venue it didn’t take long before the Steiner family log cabin was suggested. This is a special place for both of us as it’s one of the few places we go to get away from the hustle and bustle. It was built by my Austrian grandfather in the 1950s and is an authentic log cabin usually found in the Alps. Since I can remember we have been going there as a family to run wild in the hills, enjoying getting back to basics – no electronics”, says Eddie who looked dapper in his suit by P. Johnson.
Fiona Landy Catering took advantage of the areas European influence, sourcing incredible local produce ranging from cheese, smoked trout, terrines, cold meats and plenty of local wines. Their stylist Sally from Goose and Jones also tied their rustic, outdoor wedding together with plenty of native greenery and a chandelier made entirely from twigs.
But the word on everyone’s lips was something starting with T. KataLane provide plenty of cover for guests with their stunning tipis and fairy lights, and even threw in a custom made bar, dance floor and open fireplace.
No amount of food or fairy lights however, could outshine Eddie’s beautiful bride Ali who wore a stunning sheer gown by Mira Zwillinger and veil by Jenny Packham both courtesy of Helen Rodrigues bridal boutique. Ali tells us, “My dress is by an Israel designer called Mira zwillinger and I absolutely adore it! It ticks all the boxes, comfort, sexy, romantic and timeless. I could’ve have imagined wearing anything else on my wedding day.”
