West Australian brides-to-be, (or any brides-to-be for that matter), write this name down… Still Love Photography. Why? Because these light capturing geniuses can take one hell of a rad photo and are lovely human beings as well… the two most important traits one hopes to find in their wedding photographer, no?
They recently had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jo + Jon. Glenn, one half of Still Love, tells us “we’d heard enough details about Jo+Jon’s wedding in the lead up to it to be pretty darn excited about it (the individually potted wedding favours and custom lace dress from Elvi Designs just for starters), and it will definitely always be a wedding that has a special place for us. Yes it looked great, but what we loved was that every little detail was something that they loved, not something that they thought they ‘had to have’ or just ‘fit in with the rest’. That’s what was so special about this wedding, it was absolutely and unequivocally… them”
With words like that we found it hard not to get a little excited ourselves! As we mentioned above, Jo was married in a gorgeous custom made dress by the fine folk of Elvi Designs which was one of the highlights of her day. Jo says “My custom design dress was probably my second favourite aspect of the day, it made me feel every bit beautiful that I imagined my wedding dress would. My dress makers made the whole experience wonderful and so relaxed it was amazing. Elvi went above and beyond and gave me everything I imagined; from sourcing the the lace to changing anything I was worried about. I would definitely recommend finding a dress maker and creating your own gown – then you don’t have to worry about alterations or compromising on style.”
Like all good weddings this was a true family affair. Jo’s sister did all the flowers for the ceremony and reception and Jo’s superstar mum, ever the thrift shopper sourced most of the props and created their cute wedding favours. Jo says “My Mum was amazing and found all the suit cases, jars and doilies. My Mum planted 120 mini pot plants with different herbs, looked after them and then tied everyone’s names onto them – and they turned out perfect!”
