Inspired by the French Riviera, this stunning styled shoot was the creative vision of stylist Kim from The Wedding Concept and was named Jè suis Bèlle, which translates to ‘I am beautiful’. It took place at one of the Margaret River’s newest venues Chambre Estate in Western Australia, and brought together a talented WA-based team including one of our favourite lens ladies Emma MacAulay to capture all the details.

“Je Suis Belle was a French Riviera-inspired design, which modernised 2024 trends. First created as a showcase wedding release for Chambre Estate, the shoot was designed to blend a modern and minimal approach to a French-inspired setting, with minor nods to old-world inspiration,” says stylist and shoot curator Kim of The Wedding Concept. “It was a juxtaposition of European Riviera/garden vibes with soft textile elements being a big feature to soften and romanticise each location. We incorporated the tending colour of the year – peach fuzz – and other soft complimenting colours such as white, cream, butter and soft pink and green.”
CHAMBRE ESTATE
Nestled on three hectares of bush and farmland, Chambre Estate is one of the Margaret River’s newest destinations. Newly revitalised, the whitewashed brick cabins and suites sit amongst evolving landscaped grounds and sleep up to 34 guests. Acting as the serene backdrop, the creative design featured the honeymoon suite as the preparation room, the olive grove for the ceremony and the beautiful maple garden for the cocktail hour and reception.
It’s no secret that we love Emma’s documentary-style photography work. For this shoot, she says she worked on capturing the softer and romantic side of the gardens at Chambre and the delicate nature of the blooms and styling. “The tones reflect the true colours but also create the non-static mood of the shoot.”
One of our favourite bridal designers, Harriette Gordon is committed to a slow fashion practice and advocates for quality craftsmanship, community and environmental integrity. Her gowns are unique and gorgeous and alway come through with the wow moments. For this shoot, the ceremony look the model Chantie wore was the Grace Gown – floaty and romantic soft tulle in a fitted corset bodice flowing into a voluminous gathered tulle skirt, with the yet-to-be-released Tulle Bow veil. For the reception scene, Chantie wore the silk Millicent Bow Mini with playful bow detail extended throughout the accessories of shoes and headpiece.
“The floral vision for this shoot was inspired by seasonal blooms within the deep summer of our southwest WA region, with soft tones and a romantic garden design,” florist Candice says. “We used large white urns for the ceremony feature to bring a French-inspired whimsical garden design to life. Our reception florals followed the same romantic garden vision with soft butterfly ranunculus, buttery carnation clusters and elegant garden spray roses.”
