When news of new bridal collections hits Hello May HQ, we can’t contain our excitement! As one of the industry’s most sought after designers, Moira Hughes Couture was born from a long love affair with the perfectly fitted wedding gown. An eye for detail and attention to fit, Moira ensures each gown that leaves her studio is just as unique as the bride it’s intended for.
Moira’s newest collection, Look of Love, was inspired by raw and figure-sculpting silks and romantic billowing layers. With a strong focus on figure enhancing techniques, the Look Of Love Collection features European fabrics and gorgeous laces that exclusive to the Moira Hughes brand in Australia.
We hear that this collection is particularly close to Moira’s heart, as she designed it whilst being engaged herself – which means she was able to utilise her first-hand experiences to understand what a bride wants and needs.
With the help of photographer Cassandra Ladru, new kid on the block Love Find Co. (also featured here), and florals by Francis Floristry, the Look of Love Collection campaign shoot has definitely become an office fave. Snaps and claps also to jewellery provided by Samantha Wills, makeup by Sonia Allen and hair by the ever-talented Elly Hanson.
This stunning new range hit the designers’ Paddington boutique just a few short weeks ago, captivating both our hearts (and our bridal gown funds). But we’ve got to admit, our faves are Harlow, with its’ featherlight silk and layers of vintage tulle, and Kate, for when you “want Pippa’s bottom but you got the prince”.
