Today we’ve got something for the fellas. Whether they be grooms, groomsmen or guests, the lads need to be taken care of, too, and M.J. Bale has got dapper duds in the bag for anyone in search of a sweet suit.
The latest autumn collection from Australian-owned M.J. Bale features brand new velvet blazers, which we are loving! “The blazers, which are woven in the northwest of Italy, have been created in short pile velvet from a lightweight blend of linen and cotton,” the brand tells us. “Part of M.J. Bale’s ‘decon’ program, they are stripped of excess padding through the shoulders and chest, making them a softer wear and more suitable for the Australian climate.”
They come in a range of colours too, from classic black and midnight navy to forest green, eucalyptus green, petrol, pink and camel. The collection also features old favourites loved by grooms nation-wide, including the Saunders tuxedos in black and navy and the sand-coloured linen-cotton Robertson suit, as well as the new Kingston Black Wattle tuxedo, which is made from 100% superfine merino wool grown at the conservationist Kingston farm in Tasmania. A percentage of every sale from the Kingston collection is also reinvested into habitat regeneration work at the farm.
Aside from loving hard on this particular range, we are also so behind M.J Bale’s ethical ethos. Yep, these folks are proudly Climate Active certified as a 100% carbon neutral brand (Australia’s first net zero fashion brand, btw) and we are so impressed. Gear guys can feel good about? It’s a big YES from us.
