Waldara Farm

At Waldara we give couples the creative (and budget) freedom to choose their own caterer and source their own drinks (at fair prices). We do not have an in-house caterer or per-head food and drink cost. What we do provide is a state of the art caterers kitchen for your chosen caterer to work in. We also have a trusted list of experienced caterers and vendors. We would be happy to share our recommended vendors list with you. Drinks are BYO, we just ask that they are served by RSA qualified bar staff, organised through your caterer. Or a professional drinks van or service company.

Our Venue Manager will make the call with you on the day. You can perform the ceremony out of the weather in our characterful Shearing Shed, our indoor ceremony space. You may choose to hold your ceremony here regardless of weather as the space is so striking. The pavilion attached to the Barn is weather proof and provides a wet weather option for canape hour. The reception Barn has ducted heating and will be cosy all year round! No matter the weather you and your guests will be dry and warm.

Our two houses on-site can accommodation up to 20 guests. For the rest of your guests there are many places to stay in the local township of Oberon and the surrounding area, which will suit a variety of needs and budgets – Farm Stays, Motels, Air BnBs. Please ask us for a copy of our suggested accommodation list. There is also a bus company that can transport guests form the local accommodation to the venue.

Waldara has 5 hectares of gorgeous seasonal gardens, beautiful waterways and rugged natural beauty. There are so many special nooks and spaces to explore and utilise for your wedding photos. Your photographer will love Waldara and you’ll have to drag yourselves away from the endless breathtaking photo opportunities so you don’t miss the reception!

Yes of course, We love that Waldara is a stunning blank canvas for you to create the wedding of your dreams. We only ask that there are no permanent fixing to walls and floors, anything you bring with you or put up is taken down and the venue is left as you found it. Otherwise, the sky’s the limit, please add your personal touch!
