After two years living in Scotland, these guys found their way back to one of our favourite places ever – Boyd Baker House. A charming and historic venue near Melbourne, Victoria that was perfect for their simple yet stylish wedding.
“We wanted our guests to have a good time. It was our present to all the people that we love. We took a light hearted approach and kept it as honest and uncomplicated as possible”, says Sarah.
With a fabulous location and equally well-chosen dress, we don’t think much else mattered (except of course, the groom!). Wearing a vintage 1960s number by veteran wedding designer William Cahill that she found on Etsy and her mother’s matching necklace and bracelet, Sarah looked every bit the blushing bride. “My jewellery was a present my dad bought for my mum in 1966. He purchased it from the £army shop while he was posted for training before he went and served in the Vietnam conflict. I was very honoured to wear it and see the happiness it brought my dad”.
Equally beautiful was the work of photographer Eric Ronald. Sarah tells us, “On the day of the wedding it felt like he was just another one of our mates, happy for us in our happiness. When we received the final shots it was exactly what we wished for and more”.
