Our fave maker of sparkly things and dainty rocks, Meadowlark, are releasing their 2014 ‘Ritual’ collection today and we are a little bit excited about it!
The latest offering from these talented New Zealand folk represents the dark beauty of ceremony and celebration. Hedonistic yet essential, following ancient forms but crafted with contemporary vision, ‘Ritual’ is the ultimate gesture of true romance.
Claire Hammon, one half of the creative duo that makes up Meadowlark, tells us £we strove to create a series of pieces for anyone to wear, but that are perfectly suited be used in ceremonial ways”. Although for those of you not tying the knot anytime soon, or already hitched, Claire adds “you don’t need to be getting married, it doesn’t even need to be a gift for someone else? buy diamonds for yourself – there are no rules.
Our personal favourite here in the Hello May office has to be the Hex engagement ring (pictured below and stacked with the flat, arc and point Fine Geometric Rings) because who doesn’t love a good stack these days! The hex is a shape close to Claire and hubby / principal jeweller Greg Fromont’s hearts! A seemingly simple gem setting made sublime by the unexpected geometry of six sharply defined sides.
‘Ritual’ also holds a selection of men’s rings – wider bands with simple, solid lines, tattoo-inspired etching and subtly placed stones.
Click here to browse this impressive (and when we say impressive we MEAN impressive) collection of engagement and wedding rings and be sure to cruise the rest of the site for all kinds of fabulous accessories. Like what you see? Keep your eyes peeled for issue four of Hello May magazine (out early March) for a VERY special giveaway! (we’ll give you a hint: Diamonds!)
