For Jancis and Tim, it was clear that a short engagement would suffice, organising and prepping for their day in just nine short months, “We didn’t feel the need to wait to get married so we picked our favourite season (Autumn) and went from there,” says Jancis, who recruited photographer Damien Milan to capture the big day.
Sporting a beautiful Zimmermann number, the pair tied the knot amongst friends and family, later celebrating at Eugene’s in Sydney with delicious eats from Wild Rabbit and plentiful wine via The Wine Gallery and Lerida Estate.
“We wanted something fun and relaxed, with good food and wine and fun music. We weren’t too fussed about chair covers or other bits and pieces,” the bride explains.
With their vows (and totally stunning nuptials) now behind them Jancis and Tim say that they didn’t expect things to change much after getting married. “Having done it, though, we were both surprised to find that it did change the way we felt somewhat – for us it has brought an extra level of trust and security, and a stronger sense of togetherness.”
