When the self confessed ‘girl next door’ met the ‘mysterious, handsome man’ living across from her, their fate was sealed – as newlywed bride Codi put it!
With 18 months to plan their big day, Codi and Ryan visited three venues before settling on Yandina Station, just north of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. “Yandina has a raw beauty about it…We wanted that to shine through our day from the country side, dark and romantic colour palette and dim lighting through to the homestyle cooking and the chill of winter.”
Codi mentioned one of her favourite details of the day were the stunning floral designs from Ginger Lily & Rose, “The flowers complimented and helped to create the vibe that we were aiming for, they were absolutely perfect!” The pair agreed that two other stand out vendors were their photographer Aaron Shum and celebrant Jarrad Bayliss, “The photos, the ceremony and the flowers were absolutely amazing!”
With their beloved ‘fur-son’ Ari there to join in the celebrations, the couple agree that bringing the dog along made all the difference, “He is part of the family so we couldn’t imagine getting married and he not being there to celebrate with us.” Codi also mentioned one of her favourite moments was having her father there for ‘the big reveal.’
“This was a time that he could let his walls down and just share in all the emotions we were feeling in that one moment. We were already close but I believe this moment and our wedding day in a whole made us closer than ever. It is a memory I’ll forever cherish.”
