There’s nothing quite like a (perfectly) styled shoot to get us buzzing here at Hello May HQ – and this lovely little collaboration is no exception. Captured by legend Katie Grant Photography, this shoot is all about showcasing Bride La Boheme’s new collection of amazing capes and veils.
Inspired by the ever-lasting light and a feeling of the vintage past, Bride La Boheme’s latest range of accessories are a true work of art. Rather than having a lace trip attached to some tulle, these capes and veils are hand-embroidered and hand-beaded – a very fine and time-consuming work, well-worth the effort.
“I wanted to recreate a tradition of having a heirloom pieces made for bride’s special day that she can later treasure and be passed onto the generations to come – very fine heirloom veils,” explains Bride La Boheme creator/designer/dreamer Anya Ostapenko.
Featuring the famous Australian sunset and warm hazy light, this shoot took place on a rocky, romantic beach near Perth with dreamy lace gowns provided by The Bridal Atelier and Odylyne the Ceremony.
With makeup Jacqui Bradfield and hair by Kayla Marshall, model Phoebie of Viviens Models looked absolutely flawless amongst a boatload of florals by Katie Cooper Floral Design, all adding to the ethereal and free-spirited vibe. This shoot is clear proof that, despite the harsh coastline, any bride can look like a Boho Queen with the right accessories, the ideal organic bouquet and one helluva photographer.
