Alana Aoun has been a busy bee. Since launching her 2014 Spring Summer Collection earlier this year, she’s been behind the scenes working on this romantic shoot with photographer Laura Marii, hair and makeup artist Brea Mulder, stylist Katherine Eleyce and model Vivienne Barclay to showcase her latest collection of couture gowns for SS 2015.
Aoun’s unique designs take centre stage against a blank industrial backdrop, with colour (coffee, green, black) and texture (feathers, silk, lace) being the main players in this range of statement gowns and head pieces. Heavy beading and embellished accessories also feature consistently throughout, creating the kind of glamour and luxury that Ms Aoun is known for. “I challenge myself as a designer to push the boundaries of design and craftmanship beyond what is expected to create a unique vision of beauty”, says the designer.
Originally from Lebanon but now based in Sydney, Alana Aoun continues to impress the wedding world with her ability to seamlessly fuse modern silhouettes with methods of moulage and tambour beading and already we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
