Engaged for just over a year (370 days to be precise), Courtney & Adam opted for a fresh green and white colour palette for their Summer wedding. The classic colourway provided the ideal canvas for the loads of meticulously sourced details these two incorporated throughout, from The Line Letterpress’sublime invites through to the scrumptious confection whipped up by Mad About Cakes. As if we didn’t already love this couple’s taste enough, Courtney wowed guests in Hera Couture whilst Adam looked ever so dapper in an M.J. Bale tux. HM fave Ali Bailey was behind the lens, so best get scrolling…

THE VIBE “Inspiration wise, there were different elements that we both wanted for our wedding day. I craved a romantic garden style with lots of flowers, foliage and candles, whilst Adam’s main concern was to ensure there was a whiskey bar for all to enjoy. One element that we both knew we wanted was a classic style for the wedding party. Black and white, simple yet sophisticated.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “Alice and Rosie, from Floral Architecture, did the most magnificent job ensuring our vision for the wedding came alive through their florals. The beautiful cascading flower arrangement they placed in the oak tree for the ceremony was perfection. So too were the bouquets and buttonholes. As the guests entered the reception the beautiful floral arrangements continued, which were accompanied by romantic candlelit tables by the girls at The Small Things Co.

THE SUIT “Initially, Adam wasn’t keen on the full tuxedo look. Instead, Adam envisaged that he would wear just a simple black suit. That all changed, however, when Adam tried on a tuxedo at M.J. Bale just to please me and realised that he looked rather good. This suit was literally the first suit Adam tried on which he purchased then and there.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Listen to friends who have already been married, as they often have great referrals and ideas.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We booked our photographer, Ali Bailey, after perusing her Instagram. Ali is all about capturing emotion and moments rather than orchestrating pictures. Ali was warm, friendly, professional, creative and just a pleasure to share our wedding day with. Her photography was natural, personable, often enhancing beautiful natural light. When we received our wedding photos, we were so incredibly happy. So many beautiful moments were captured which we will cherish forever.”
