Uh, so these two sweethearts are BOTH farmers. “Our relationship is a true partnership, we work together, we live together, we parent together”, says the ultra lovely bride. In fact, the couple’s rose farm provided the oodles of lush florals that were strewn lavishly throughout the ceremony and reception. The divine details didn’t stop there with the bride sporting a Cushla Whiting creation and The White Tree cranking tunes. Please do scroll down for some super cute pics of the couple’s daughters pitching petals, as captured by Ali from Smith and Archer…

THE VENUE “From the moment we started talking about the wedding day we knew we wanted to get married at home; as if you wouldn’t with a beautiful property of your own! We thought about hiring a marquee however the logistics and planning seemed more than what we felt we needed for our wedding day. We decided our local hall (5 mins from our house) was perfect and had everything we needed. Our family and friends go to the hall for community events and birthday parties. It is somewhere that we have visited so many times and it felt comfortable but I was also really excited to make it that little bit more special for us. Really it was a blank canvas with a whole lot of meaning!”

THE VIBE “Most importantly we wanted our day to be effortless, intimate and fun. It is no secret that Brock and I love a good party so we were really excited to throw a party to celebrate our love with everyone who is important to us. We wanted to keep the significance of a wedding but without all the fuss. By picking our important moments to focus on and letting everything else stay pretty informal and fun we were able to find that balance. With the styling I knew very early on that I wanted to only have lighting and flowers. Lighting is so important in setting the tone of a party and keeping things really uncomplicated felt like it was reflective of our relationship. Good food, lighting, a band and flowers; they were our key elements!”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “The flowers, OH MY! I had no idea what the flowers were going to look like! Before I was a rose farmer I worked for many years at Cecilia Fox as a florist. It was the most special experience having my dearest friends create something so beautiful just for us. I sent buckets and buckets of roses to Cecilia Fox during the week of our wedding and they made so many gorgeous arrangements with them. I was surprised with three bridal bouquets; an all clematis bouquet for the ceremony, a white rose bouquet for family photos and a sunset toned bouquet for our sunset photos! A florist/rose farmers dream!!!”

THE DRESS “My dress was from Jane Hill. Originally, I was thinking of something floral with colour. I couldn’t have picked anything further from that original idea. I saw the Jane Hill Soho on their Instagram account and I loved the cut of the dress. I visited Jane Hill with my sister and only tried that one dress on, it was so perfect and it is called Soho! I ended up trying on a few dresses when I was at Jane Hill that day because I wasn’t sure that it would be easy to find the dress. It turns out that it was!”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Ali from Smith and Archer! From the first conversation, she was excited about our wedding and it made me excited. She was understanding about the sensitive family dynamics and our busy schedules and in the lead up to the wedding, nothing was too hard. We were comfortable with Ali which made for some beautiful photos! I actually felt sad when Ali left the reception, I wanted her to stay! Peter Ford and his staff were an absolute dream to have at our wedding. The food was INCREDIBLE! It was really important to us to have good food at our wedding, we have a lot of big eaters amongst our friends and we really wanted to make sure that they were blown away…they were and then some! I don’t think there is anyone who attended the wedding who didn’t comment on how amazing the food was.”
