We love that Brooke and Kyle threw tradition (and their schedule) out the window the day they tied the knot on beautiful Falls Farm in Lesmurdie WA. After the ceremony they lounged around on the lawn with their guests for hours and it wasnt until the fading light of day settled in that they took off with the talented folk from iZO Photography to have their gorgeous portraits taken.
Brooke, who had her hair and make up done by Birdsnest Bridal, tells us “We weren’t looking for an overly traditional wedding so having a relaxed vintage country’ afternoon wedding made sense. We really wanted the freedom to make the day ours and reflect who we are.”
So much of this wedding was DIY with Brooke’s mum donating hours of her time and talents, with out hesitation, to make not only Brooke’s gorgeous gown, but the bridesmaids dresses too! Brooke says “We tried to do as much as we could ourselves in every aspect of our wedding. We made 120 metres of bunting over a weekend along with the flowers including bouquets and boutonnieres, lace entryway curtains, hessian runners, blackboard signage and lemon butter wedding favours.” What Brooke and Kyle couldnt rustle up themselves or with the help of family and friends knowing they could turn to the kind people over at Pretty Willow Prop Hire surely took a load off their minds!
