Hello May is as much about our couples as it is about our vendors, and bride Aja couldn’t agree more, telling us, “I couldn’t believe their commitment… they were a big reason the day was such a success.”
Held on her parent’s property in Sydney, Aja and Robb recruited Sheree from She Designs to transform Aja’s family garden into a waterside retreat. “We wanted it to reflect us both which is fairly casual, relaxed and a little off beat…. we wanted above anything else to have good food and good music (which we nailed by the way!) “, says Aja who was completely blown away by Sheree’s efforts. “It was SO MUCH more than I could have ever anticipated. I have never seen a wedding like it uber cool vintage palm tree fabrics, cane furniture, pineapples the works.”
Also featured on their list of first-class vendors was hair and makeup artist Abbey Love, award winning chef Massimo Mele and last but not least, photographers Trish and Joel from Tealily Photography, who captured every detail of Aja and Rob’s day.
“We did A LOT of DIY”, says Aja who wore a beautiful San Patrick gown from Marry Me Bridal. The benches, bar, wooden menu board and flowers were all done by Aja’s immediate family. Outside their Nordic KataLane tents was a list of other awesome bits and bobs, including an outdoor fire pit, gourmet popsicles from Aja’s company, Liana Raine Artisan Pops plus an entire boat filled with beer.
Married by Kristie Poole from All Your Thinking, Aja tells us “Marriage was never a MUST on our list… but once we had our daughter, being married and officially becoming a family felt even more special.”
