Days Like These Events

Wedding days go fast. Everyone says it, and it’s true. Our job is to make sure you’re there for every minute of yours.

We’re Days Like These Events, a team of wedding planners and on-the-day coordinators based in NSW. We work with couples across Sydney, the Central Coast, the South Coast, Mudgee, the Gold Coast, Byron Bay and anywhere else you’d like to get married.

We’re a small team, and we like it that way. It means we get to know you properly — how you want the day to feel, who matters most and which bits you’d happily hand over. Then we get to work.

For some couples, that’s full planning, from finding the venue right through to the final run sheet. For others, it’s coordination. We step in eight weeks before the wedding, confirm every detail with your suppliers and run the day so you can be a guest at your own wedding.

Either way, the work mostly happens behind the scenes. You won’t see us keeping the timeline on track, putting the rain plan into action or quietly chasing up a supplier. You’ll just notice that everything feels easy.

After years in weddings, we also know a lot of great vendors. Venues, florists, photographers, bands. We’ll point you to the ones we trust.

If you’re not sure whether you need planning, coordination or both, we’d love to chat. Book a free Zoom, no pressure, just a conversation about your dream day.

FAQ

What services do you offer and how much do they cost?

We offer wedding planning and on-the-day coordination. Planning starts from $2,200 and begins as soon as you book. We help with styling, finding your venue and suppliers, budgets, floor plans and timelines. Coordination starts from $3,250 and kicks off eight weeks before your wedding. We confirm every detail and write the run sheet. Then on the day, we’re with you from set up to the last dance, looking after your suppliers, your timeline, your guests and you. We also offer 10 hours of planning support if you only want help with certain parts. Our team is spread across NSW and we travel Australia wide and overseas.

Do we need planning, coordination or both?

Planning is for couples who don’t know where to start, live far from their venue or just don’t have the time. Coordination is for couples who’ve planned it themselves and want someone to make it all happen on the day. If you love planning, coordination might be all you need. If not, you’ll probably want both. And even if your venue has a coordinator, they look after the venue. We look after you, your suppliers and everything else.

What does a coordinator actually do on the day, can’t our family or friends just do it?

Just about everything. Your coordinator arrives early to set up your styling and check in with every supplier. We keep the timeline moving, wrangle family photos and make sure the MC, photographer and caterer all know what’s next. We fix the things that go wrong, usually before you hear about them, and we look after you too, from a dress fix to a drink in your hand. We love that your family and friends want to help, but it’s a full-time job on the day. If your mum or best friend is running it, they miss your wedding. We’d much rather they were front row with a tissue and a glass of champagne. Let them be guests. That’s our job.

When should we book you?

Sooner than you think. If you want help with planning, get in touch as soon as you’re engaged. The venue and suppliers are the biggest decisions, and that’s where we can save you the most time, money and stress. If it’s coordination you’re after, we start working with you eight weeks out, but don’t leave booking until then. Popular dates go quickly, and once your date is taken, it’s gone. We have pulled a wedding together in a week before, but we wouldn’t recommend it! Not sure what you need yet? Book a free Zoom and we’ll work it out together.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

We plan for it from the very start. Every wedding we coordinate has a wet weather plan built into the run sheet, long before anyone checks the forecast. If the rain rolls in, we move the ceremony, reset the space and brief every supplier on the new plan, all while keeping the day on time. Most of your guests won’t even realise there was a plan B. All you need to do is hold the umbrella and enjoy it.

Do you travel for weddings?

All the time. Our team is spread across NSW and we work regularly in Sydney, the Central Coast, Mudgee, the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, the Tweed Coast and Brisbane. We also travel interstate and overseas for destination weddings. If you’re getting married somewhere far from home, we become your eyes and ears on the ground. We can visit the venue, deal with local suppliers and make sure everything is ready, so you can arrive and just enjoy being there.

What do we need to have sorted before we contact you?

Not much at all. A rough idea of your date, location and guest numbers is plenty. You don’t need a venue booked or a theme picked out. Lots of couples come to us with a Pinterest board, a budget and not much else, and that’s a great place to start. The most useful thing to think about is how much of the planning you actually want to do yourselves. That tells us straight away whether you need planning, coordination or a bit of both.

What makes Days Like These different?

We don’t think a wedding is a success because it looked good in the photos. It’s a success if you were actually there for it. Laughing at the speeches, on the dance floor, not wondering where the cake knife is. Everything we do is built around that. We sweat the details so you don’t have to, we stay calm when things change, and we look after you and your family like you’re our own. That’s why so many of our couples say we felt more like friends than suppliers on the day.

What makes Days Like These different?

We’ll let our couples answer this one. Gen and Stephen said we were “the besties that you want with you on your big day.” Maria and Igshaan said they “felt totally calm and relaxed” knowing they were in our hands. Chloe and Oliver admitted they weren’t sure about having a coordinator at first, but couldn’t imagine the day without us by the end. That’s what we’re going for every time. Calm, organised and genuinely in your corner. Our experience means we’re calm when plans change, we spot problems early, and we know which suppliers will look after you. But the bigger difference is how involved we get. We answer the late-night emails, give you a gentle nudge when the invites need to go out, and on the day we can be right beside you until the job’s done.

How many hours of coordination do we need?

It depends on your day. We offer anywhere from 4 to 14 hours with your dedicated coordinator, tailored to your timeline. Shorter bookings usually cover set up, the ceremony and the start of the reception. Longer bookings take you right through the speeches, the first dance and pack down at the end of the night. Once we know your venue, your run of events and what your suppliers are doing, we’ll recommend the hours that make sense, so you’re not paying for more than you need.
