I’m Benjamin, a goldsmith and jeweller working from my studio in Collingwood, Melbourne. I specialise in custom wedding rings, from engagement rings to wedding bands, and I’m a sole jeweller – a person, rather than a brand.

Rather than dealing with a salesperson who passes your ring down a production line, you sit across the bench from me as your piece comes together. You see the tools, the half-finished work and the process. Nothing happens behind a curtain.

I started at the bench under an experienced jeweller, with years of hands-on learning before I set out on my own in 2016. That grounding still shapes how I work today: slowly, carefully, one decision at a time.

Good jewellery takes time, and I keep my client list small on purpose so every commission gets the attention it deserves. Every decision – proportion, stone, finish – is mine. My pieces are sculptural and refined, balanced and well polished. They’re designed to age gracefully with you, rather than become something you outgrow.

Creating custom wedding rings is a genuinely collaborative process, and it’s my favourite part. Most people arrive without a clear idea of what they want. Together, we work through stones, shapes and materials until we land on something that’s actually yours – something that carries your story.

If a slower, more collaborative approach feels right for you – made by someone who’s there for the whole process – I’d love to hear what you’re imagining.

FAQ

Do you work with couples outside Melbourne?

Yes – while most of my clients are Melbourne-based and love coming into the studio to see the process firsthand, I also work with couples across Australia and internationally. We can run the whole design process over video call, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and progress along the way. The main difference is how we handle sizing and the final fitting. We’ll work that out together depending on where you are.

What should couples know before getting in touch?

The best place to start is just telling me roughly what you’re imagining. Even if it’s only a feeling or a photo you like, that’s enough. I’ll usually ask about budget and timeline early on, since that shapes what’s possible. Production typically takes 8–10 weeks once we’ve settled on a design, so it’s worth reaching out earlier rather than later if you’re working toward a date. A 50% deposit gets things underway once we’ve locked in the design.

How would you describe your style?

Sculptural and refined, with an emphasis on balance and finish. I design in 18K gold and platinum, with forms that frame the stone and settings built to last decades of daily wear. My style isn’t about following trends. It’s about creating a ring that still feels right on your hand in twenty years.
