Hi, I’m Anna, a wedding photographer based in the New England in rural New South Wales.

I’m drawn to weddings for all the things that can’t really be planned. The nervous laugh before walking down the aisle, your Dad trying very hard not to cry, champagne-fuelled dance floors, wind catching your veil at exactly the right moment and those quiet little looks between the two of you when you forget anyone else is there.

My photography is a mix of natural, documentary moments and a little bit of editorial romance. I love beautiful photographs, but I care even more about how you felt while making them. I want you to look back at your gallery years from now and not just see what your wedding looked like, but remember exactly how it felt to be there.

Growing up around the country, I’ve always had a soft spot for beautiful rural landscapes, big skies and weddings that feel a little bit relaxed and a little bit wild. These days, I photograph weddings across New South Wales, South East Queensland and beyond, and I’m very happy to jump in the car (or onto a plane) for the right one.

If you’re planning a wedding that feels like you, whether that’s a country property, a beautiful venue or somewhere completely unexpected I’d love to hear all about it. Bring the good music, the messy dance moves and the people you love most. I’ll bring the camera.

FAQ

How would you describe your photography style?

I’d describe my style as natural, emotive and timeless, with a touch of editorial. I love photographs that feel effortless and full of movement rather than overly posed or perfect. I’ll give you enough direction to make you feel comfortable and create those beautiful portraits, but I’m just as interested in everything happening in between; the laughs, happy tears, crooked veils, big hugs and moments you didn’t even realise I was photographing. I’ll probably drop a few cheeky lines along the way to make you giggle and bring out those genuine laughs and little moments of love between you. I’m all about beautiful light, natural connection and photographs that feel like you.

Where do you photograph weddings?

I’m based in the New England region of NSW, so you’ll find me photographing plenty of weddings around Armidale, the Northern Tablelands and surrounding rural towns. I regularly travel throughout NSW and further afield for weddings. I’m originally from South East Queensland, so I’ll happily take any excuse to head back up that way for a wedding as well. I’m always up for an adventure and happy to travel wherever your day takes me.

What should couples know before booking with Anna Kemph Photography?

I aim to make your wedding day feel not so ‘photoshooty’. I want you to be present, enjoy your people and actually experience your wedding day, while I quietly capture everything as it happens. I’ll give you direction when you need it (especially during portraits!), but I’m never going to make you spend hours posing. I’m all about the in-between moments, the movement, the emotion and the little things you might not notice on the day. That said, I’ll absolutely encourage you to sneak away with me for that gorgeous golden-hour light because those are usually the photos you’ll want hanging on your wall forever!
