How long does it take to create a custom wedding gown?

Each gown at Lilian Bree Couture is meticulously handmade in-house, from patternmaking and cutting through to sewing and hand detailing. To allow time for the highest level of craftsmanship and precision, a custom bridal gown typically takes 8–10 months to complete.

Where is my wedding gown made?

Each gown is lovingly handcrafted by Lilian in her Camden studio, where every design begins with a vision and is brought to life with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. From the first sketch to the final stitch, each gown is created with care to ensure every bride wears a truly one-of-a-kind piece on her wedding day.

How many appointments will I need for a custom bridal gown?

You will typically have five appointments throughout the process to ensure your gown is made perfectly for you. These include a measurements appointment, where we discuss your design and take your measurements, followed by a toile appointment to check the shape and structure. Your first and second fittings allow us to make adjustments and final refinements before your final appointment, when your finished gown is ready to take home.

Do you create Mother of the Bride and occasion gowns?

At Lilian Bree Couture, we create more than just bridal gowns. Whether you’re the Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, a grandmother, bridesmaid or attending a formal event, we can create a beautifully tailored gown to suit your individual style.

Each gown is custom-made with expert craftsmanship and fitted specifically for you, so you can feel confident, elegant and truly special for the occasion.

Will I need alterations for my custom wedding gown?

No. Every Lilian Bree Couture gown is custom-made to your measurements. Throughout the creation process, you’ll attend five personalised appointments and fittings to ensure your gown fits beautifully. By the time your gown is complete, there is no need to arrange alterations elsewhere—your gown has been expertly fitted just for you.

Do I have to pay for my custom gown upfront?

No. You are not required to pay for your gown upfront. Once you decide to create your gown with Lilian Bree Couture, a 10% deposit is required within seven days to secure your booking.

The remaining balance is divided into manageable payments spread across your scheduled appointments throughout the creation of your custom gown.

Does Lilian Bree Couture have a bridal boutique or shopfront?

Lilian Bree Couture is based in an intimate boutique studio in Camden, NSW. The studio offers a personal, one-on-one experience, allowing each bride to enjoy a relaxed and private design journey while her gown is created with exceptional care and attention to detail.

How long is a bridal consultation, and can I bring guests?

Your bridal consultation is one hour, giving you dedicated time with Lilian to discuss your vision, explore design ideas and begin creating your dream gown. You’re welcome to bring up to four guests to share the experience with you.

Do you offer after-hours or weekend bridal appointments?

Yes. We offer late evening appointments as well as Saturday and Sunday appointments to fit around your schedule. We understand that wedding planning can be busy, so we aim to make your bridal journey as convenient, relaxed and stress-free as possible.

Can I bring children to my bridal appointments?

Yes, absolutely. Children are welcome to attend your appointments. We want every bride to feel comfortable and supported throughout her bridal journey, and we understand that bringing your little ones may help make the experience more relaxed and enjoyable.
