We’re Braeside – a private country estate tucked into Queensland’s Southern Downs, where a heritage homestead meets 20 acres of gardens, bush and farmland. We’re not a traditional wedding venue with a set package and a run sheet; we’re a blank canvas you can make entirely your own.
Wander our grounds and you’ll find a wisteria-draped pergola that turns lilac in spring, a garden gazebo tucked among established trees, and open lawns strung with fairy lights come evening. Say your vows wherever feels right, then let the celebration drift outdoors as the light softens and the hills settle into that particular quiet that only comes with real distance from anywhere else.
Our 3 self-contained guesthouses host up to 14 people between them, meaning your closest people stay with you, not down the road. The Residence is where bridal morning nerves turn into excitement, and later, your first night as a married couple. The Homestead sleeps 10 across 5 bedrooms for family and friends. The Cottage is a cosy one-bedroom retreat for 2, ideal when you just want a quiet moment away from the noise.
We keep our weddings intimate – capped at 40 guests – and we hand the whole property to you for a minimum 2 nights. It’s your day to plan your way, and once you’re booked in, we’re happy to share our list of trusted local suppliers to help bring your vision to life.
