Honni and Matt are two people that make us want to go outside and play. Unless it’s raining in which case we’d prefer to be under their awesome, Pocahontas-style tipis from Zest Styling. “Let’s go on an adventure” was the theme for their wedding day and we think they may very well have pulled it off.
Held at the enchanted Empire Retreat in the Margaret River wine region of Western Australia, Honni and Matt threw together a fire pit, 200 floating paper lanterns, plenty of wine and a stack of antique silverwear to create a fun and unique reception. “We wanted a warm, elegant event in a casual setting. We loved being able to celebrate under the stars, around a fireplace, in such a beautiful part of the world surrounded by so many wonderful friend’s and family”, said Honni.
What we love is that they chose our favourite people from Merge Photography to capture all of those magical moments. These shots perfectly reflect the mystical, old-world feel these two outdoor enthusiasts worked tirelessly to create and how much fun they had on their special day.
We’re also kinda happy she chose to wear such a beautiful Galleria Couture gown – we’ve been waiting ages to find a bride who can rock this kind of frock!
