While on holiday in Vietnam, Stuart decided to pop the question to Bridget on a boat at sunset (romantic, right?!). “We were sitting on our balcony post an afternoon of kayaking through bat caves. Steu simply asked if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, I grinned like a cheshire cat and said yes about a million times.”
After hearing about an awesome new venue from a guest at a friend’s wedding, Bridget and Stuart booked in as soon as possible to check out Glen Albyn Estate.
“It was love at first sight. I got goose bumps when I first saw the spot where we would get married. It’s the first and only venue we looked at. It really set the tone for the way we planned our wedding. We went with our gut and most of the time booked the first thing we tried or saw. If it felt right we just went with it,” explains Bridget, who adds that their location served as inspiration for the entire day.
“We wanted everything to compliment the amazing back drop that the venue provided us. From that we focused on eucalyptus and gypsophila which lead us to choosing green, white with touches of metallic as our wedding theme,” says the bride, who wore a custom made gown designed by her good friend Annie.
“Every part of the design experience was unique. The first time I tried my finished dress on I could feel all the love that had been poured into it during the process. It was a very special experience and I am lucky to of had the opportunity to work with all the beautiful ladies that make up Style My Day’.”
Captured by I Got You Babe Weddings, Bridget and Stuart tell us their scoring their photographer and their venue were two of the things they were most happy about. “I’m really glad that the beautiful Lilli Waters said yes to capturing our perfect day. I feel like venue and photographer are two things you really want to get right and hot damn we did good!”
