Together for two years, Allira and Aggie’s whirlwind engagement lasted just six weeks! The proposal? Not your usual affair. Aggie booked a ring-design appointment, and the following week Allira sent a cheeky text: Let’s do it – let’s get married in Jindy. Six weeks later, they married in her family’s backyard in East Jindabyne with 20 of their people watching on – and honestly, this gorgeous wedding, shot by Dominic Kieler, gets a 10/10 from us…

A BACKYARD VENUE

“We had just sold the family home after Aggie’s parents had both passed, with settlement coming up in August. I had been looking all over the countryside for the perfect venue but it had always been Aggie’s dream to get married in that backyard, sharing scones and cake, something she’d always joked about with her mum. So when the time came, it felt like the perfect way to honour those memories, saying goodbye to a lifetime with her parents while stepping into our lifetime together. And honestly, it couldn’t have been more us.”

FAVOURITE MEMORIES

“The detail we’ll always remember? How intimate everything felt. Our dogs tagging along, the kids running amok, our families together, and us soaking up every imperfect, joyful, unforgettable moment.

A SURPRISE FOR GUESTS

“We turned up in trackies and shirts 30 minutes early, casually chatting and acting like nothing was special, while everyone genuinely believed that this was our wedding outfit which made us giggle the whole time. Little did they know, we had a secret plan. We slipped upstairs, changed into our stunning, custom-made blazers, each piece completely unique and perfectly tailored for us. Then came the moment: we walked back down, hearts racing, and the room fell silent for just a heartbeat… before exploding into laughter, cheers and looks of total shock. Everyone was completely gobsmacked, thrilled, and so happy, and we couldn’t stop grinning. It was cheeky, and utterly perfect, a playful little twist that set the tone for the rest of the day, and one of our absolute favourite memories.”

MUST-HAVE WEDDING VENDORS

“When you only work with three vendors, it’s easy to see why each one stood out because all three truly did. Our photographer, Dom, captured our day more beautifully than we could have ever imagined. We wanted natural, candid moments, and he delivered beyond all expectations. The Bon Forals? Their floral arrangements were effortless perfection – a literal dream in every sense. And The Tailor Khallouf? Two custom pieces that have now set the bar so high, it’s hard to imagine ever buying a blazer off the rack again, tailored clothing has spoiled us for life.”
