ALICE & LACHLAN’S SOUTH COAST WEDDING

As soon as we spied this wedding at The Jackson Ranch on Insta, we were hooked. Not only is this South Coast venue one of the very best, but Alice and Lachy also had the incredible Miko of Tones & Harmony onboard to take the snaps. Throw in stunning florals from Fritillerie, bold bridesmaid looks and a nod to the couple’s Scottish heritage, and this Jackson Ranch wedding has our hearts. We also love the newlyweds definition of marriage. “Marriage to us means being fully committed to each other and supporting one another with whatever we decide to do. Whether that means Lachy sitting through 60-plus episodes of Love Island even though he hates it, or me supporting Lachy’s 100th juice cleanse, we’ll always be there for each other.” LOL!

THE VENUE “We really wanted somewhere where our whole bridal party could stay in one place and we loved the overall modern country-coastal vibe of The Jackson Ranch. And of course, the pool was a necessity with our wedding being in December. Plus, Bawley Point, where it’s located, is where Lachy spent a lot of his summer’s growing up, camping with his family and family friends nearby at a camping spot called Pretty Beach. It’s a stunning and very chilled location, a three-hour drive from Sydney, but definitely worth it.”

THE INSPO “We honestly just wanted a big party. Our mission was for everyone to have a fun and care-free day with delicious drinks, food and great vibes.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT ” Our favourite memory from the day was definitely our first look, which we did in The Jackson Ranch‘s beautifully designed bubble tent that’s surrounded by green dense bushland and has a standalone bath outside. It was a very peaceful and serene place to meet. I hate being the centre of attention, so it really calmed my nerves being able to see Lachy right before the ceremony and share a special moment together with just us… and our photographer, Miko (Tones & Harmony)! He captured the moments perfectly and we both were so happy that we had this time to just be with each other and chat (and shed some happy tears of course).”

FAVE DETAILS ” The grooms’ party Scottish scarves – I’m half Scottish and Lachy has Scottish heritage, so this was a nice nod to the Davidson and McLean Scottish clans. The stationery – our good friend Anna Rose Carmody designed all our menus, welcome signs, seating plan etc. She’s extremely talented and it was special to have her involved in our wedding. And my bouquet from Fritillerie. I originally wanted just white calla lilies with a green ribbon, but she texted me a couple of days before saying that she had found an amazing green and burgundy slipper orchid and an insane deep dark purple burgundy oncidium orchid. I’m happy I said yes as the colours were so stunning.”

STANDOUT VENDORMiko was amazing, of course! We love his style of photography and he did a great job managing our 16-person bride party. His communication before and during the wedding really helped capture the moment.”
The Jackson Ranch is hands-down one of our favourite NSW venues – see why we love them so here! You’ll also find a gorgeous wedding at this venue featured in the Real Wedding Special, which you can shop online.
