Drawn to the idea of a charming, relaxed country wedding, Andrew and Trish of the Real Wedding Special strayed from Sydney’s CBD and ventured south to Terrara House Estate just outside of Nowra – a place that has more cows than cars and the option to have almost everything organised in-house.

£We had looked at other properties in the Southern Highlands where we would have had to organise the marquee, however Terrara House offered everything from one supplier at an amazing standard,” says Trish who was equally impressed with the team at Suzanne Harward.

£I found Suzanne Harward online, within three weeks of getting engaged. I made contact with them as I liked their contemporary style and one particularly distinctive lace. Marnee the dressmaker was amazing, and Carly couture stylist was a ball of energy and always quick to respond. The dress was stunning.—

And so too was the weather. After a week of rain, Mother Nature decided to put her best foot forward, allowing Trish and Andrew’s outdoor ceremony, captured by Mitch Pohl, to go ahead as planned.

£The sun shining through the trees at the ceremony was just beautiful,” says Trish who next to their carrot cake, included a giant grazing table, festoon lights and a free-standing fire pit to create a relaxed ambience following the formalities.

The reception on the other hand, which boasted an enormous floral chandelier and DIY succulent wedding favours, turned up the volume with The White Tree playing a long list of hits and encouraging everyone onto the dance floor.

There were of course, some sentimental moments too, including Andrew’s speech. £It will get him out of trouble for an eternity! It was so emotional and heartfelt. As the bride, I felt very proud to call him my husband,” says Trish who as well as having a lovely wedding dress, has some awesome advice for other brides and grooms-to-be. £Have fun! It’ll all get done. And it’ll probably cost you more than you expect?—
