Celia and Alex set out to find a location for their special day, scouring the interweb day and night until they came across Core Cider House in Perth Hills. “We booked a visit, and knew as soon as we walked in that it was the place for us, with beautiful views in every direction. We stayed and had lunch and tried some cider, which sealed the deal”, says Celia, who admits that DIY isn’t her cuppa tea.
“We found that people are very good at their jobs, and letting them do their job got the best result. All our vendors were wonderful, and did it so much more beautifully than we could have hoped.?” Utilising the talented folk of Villa Kula, Hire Society, and Flower Nation, the bride was able to focus on finding a flawless frock.
“My dress was unusual in that it was a skirt and top, from different stores matched together,” explains Celia, who opted for a J. Crew tulle/ribbon layered skirt and a cashmere top from Bloomingdales. “I wouldn’t change a thing and love that I haven’t seen anything else like it.”
Captured by sharp shooter Melissa Mills, their day was all about family, with even the grandmother’s being included as flower girls. “One realised her basket was full at the top of the aisle, and upended her basket before sitting down”, says Celica of the priceless moment that she recalls being just as good as their cake made by a family friend.
