Had Bree and Andrew been hosting a wet t-shirt competition rather than a wedding, they’d have picked the perfect day. You see it didn’t just rain, it poured and everyone, including Bree and Andrew got soaked. “We all just embraced it and it ended up being so fun!” says Bree, a woman with the world’s best attitude.
She goes on to tell us “A big shout out has to go to Shane Shepherd Photography and Ben from Goliath Productions as those guys braved torrential rain, broken gear and soggy shoes to get some amazing stills and footage of our wedding!”
Held at Attunga Park Country Retreat in country New South Wales (a venue you might recognise from Jolie and Jerem’s wedding, featured in issue six) Bree says she wanted their wedding to be “casual, relaxed and welcoming”.
Her knee-length Kitsch Bitsch gown perfectly suited their laid-back, eclectically styled reception which this pair put together using re-purposed bits and pieces. “All the signs were created by us, and the reception table doors were locally sourced, washed and sanded. Our favours were succulents we hand potted and painted and grew for a couple months before our wedding day!”
Pleased with how everything came together, Bree reassures that by far the best bit about their day was becoming husband and wife. “It felt like we had finally made it and everything we had planned, thought about and dreamt of was all just leading up to this – getting to be together forever!”
