Hello May is an independent Australian wedding publication connecting engaged couples with the country’s most ridiculously talented wedding vendors. Print magazine, website, vendor directory, socials, the lot. Hello May is obsessed with creative, modern, personality-filled weddings, brought to life by the best vendors in the game, always through the lens of beautiful photography and stories worth telling.

Hello May Magazine first hit shelves back in 2012, launched as a print magazine and website at a time when the Australian wedding market was crying out for something cool. The brand quickly grew beyond that, embracing digital publishing further and becoming one of the first wedding titles in the country to jump on Instagram, reflecting the broader shift in how couples research weddings and connect with suppliers. Hello May has been championing the creative community who make up the wedding industry ever since.

Who owns Hello May?

In 2023, Dani Connor, Tess McIntosh and Tara Connor took the reins, officially becoming the new owners and stepping into their roles as Editor, Creative Director and Head of Partnerships. Having previously worked together in publishing, taking over this institution was an easy yes. Under their leadership, Hello May has continued to push boundaries while staying true to the brand’s iconic voice.

Why does Hello May exist?

Simple. The wedding industry is bursting with talent – photographers, stylists, stationery designers, makeup artists – all working overtime to make your wedding day as unique, fun and downright incredible as you’ve always pictured it. Hello May exists to put those brilliant humans in front of the couples who need them.

What makes Hello May different?

Sure, there’s no shortage of wedding websites out there. But we felt like none of them actually let you get to know the people behind your wedding day – the photographer, the florist, the celebrant – before you book them. That’s why every vendor you see on Hello May has been personally invited by our team. We don’t let just anyone in, we go looking for the ones who blow us away, so you don’t have to.

Plus, in a world gone increasingly digital, we’re proud to be one of the last wedding brands in Australia (and the world!) still putting out a proper, hold-in-your hands print magazine, twice a year. No refresh button, no algorithm, just really good paper. Fourteen years after Hello May first hit the shelves, couples are still picking up copies, circling favourite vendors and passing them between friends. Turns out no amount of scrolling beats flipping through real weddings in print.

We believe the best wedding inspiration deserves more than a fleeting scroll. It deserves a permanent place in your planning journey, something to return to again and again.
