Walking down the aisle to an acoustic version of Disclosure’s Latch performed by HM faves Tillee Music, Tylah said I do to her partner of eight years Dylan at The Burrow Event Space in Daylesford. This creative pair, Tylah a landscaper architect and Dylan a builder – “we also renovate houses together so we are very busy!” Tylah shares – chose an “autumn romance” theme for their big day, and wanted to put on the “best party ever.” And guys, we may not have been there in person, but judging from the epic snaps by the one and only Georgia Verrells, they made it happen. Not only was it one helluva party, but they had some red-hot vendors along for the ride, including M.J. Bale, Forever Soles and Ladybird Cakes. That’s enough from us, start your scroll…
THE VENUE “We looked at a small handful of venues and after visiting The Burrow we just knew it was the spot. The trees and green outlook had our attention. The Burrow is an empty space so I was given a blank canvas to create the wedding and style we wanted. We draped material from the beams, rented furniture and vintage glassware all to give the romantic style we imagined.”
THE DRESS “My dress was Rue De Seine. When I started looking, I knew I wanted something boho but was happy to try a few on and see how they looked. I only went to two stores and was just so drawn to all of Rue De Seine’s designs. As soon as I put on my gown, I knew it was perfect. Mum even has a cute video of me saying, ‘This is the one’ as I strut around the room’.”
THE SUIT “My suit was from M.J. Bale. It was a pretty easy decision and myself and the groomsmen all wore the same. We paired it with a beige shirt and ties that Tylah and I made as I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.”
LITTLE LOL “We were living in a tiny house (I mean tiny! A real tiny house) in the lead-up to our wedding, while we renovated our home, so as we collected wedding attire and pieces it was a logistical nightmare to store anything! Luckily our parents came to the rescue.”
A TOUCH OF TRADITION “Tylah and I decided to perform a German tradition, from my heritage, where we cut a log together with a cross saw. The cutting of the log symbolises our first challenge to overcome as a married couple and how we must work together to overcome obstacles in our life together.”
STANDOUT VENDOR “Georgia Verrells, our photographer! She was so much fun to be around and honestly just joined in the party while capturing the most stunning pictures of our day. She was the biggest help in making the day run smoothly. She laughed with us and just let us have fun while documenting so many intimate and special moments.”
