Meet Amy, a not-so-ordinary bride and a particularly brave soul and Tim, the guy that married her. “I actually proposed to Tim on a road trip in the US… it was terrifying!” said Amy. “He’d told me early in our relationship that he thought it would be cool for a girl to propose to a guy, so a year later, I did!”
Another year or so later and they were not only married but parents to a beautiful boy, Alfie. “We weren’t planning on having a long engagement but when we found out a few months later that I was pregnant, we decided to wait until our son, Alfie was old enough to play a part in the day”.
Having recently become a family it was important to both Tim and Amy that their day was kid-friendly. That said, The Collingwood Children’s Farm by the Yarra River in Melbourne was the perfect wedding venue. “All the kids could run around and the farm is so beautiful we didn’t need much in the way of decorations”, said Amy. Looking at these pictures by The White Tree, we’re pretty spellbound by this unique location, too.
These snaps mirror the relaxed vibe of the day, of Tim and Amy simply enjoying each other’s company as they sit and eat on haybales. Most importantly, they capture how incredible Amy looked in her Anna Campbell gown. “I went to her boutique, tried on one dress and bought it. It was perfect”.
