On a rainy day in Sandon, Victoria Stacey and Matt tied the knot in front of family and friends and celebrated with a vintage, picnic inspired reception. “I hired picnic tables and a jumping castle (although disappointingly the jumping castle operators couldn’t find the hall)”, says Stacey who had Prunella create some stunning floral arrangements alongside her paper copies.
Their intimate day was captured by photographer Jessica Tremp from Brown Paper Parcel, (whos lovely work you may also have spied here and here) and included a gallery of beautiful DIY projects lovingly made by Stacey’s friend Claire. “She made the banners, the tabelcloths – her and a couple of other wonderful friends set up the church and the reception hall the day before”, says Stacey who wore a gorgeous, strapless gown by Marisa Bridals. “It was the very last dress I tried on and I knew after a minute or two, we’d found it.”
For Stacey however, the highlight was the moment she started walking down the aisle. “You can’t go past that moment… everything else fades away and all your nervousness disappears – although I was grinning stupid like Muriel the whole way to the front!”
