They may have opted for a micro wedding, but Sonja and Callum went large on style! The bride wore three outfits throughout the day (slay!) and the pair made sure they didn’t skimp when it came to photography, hiring the incredible Kinship by Kristy, who’s editorial-style speaks for itself.

We’re obsessed with the chic simplicity of these Melbourne nups, and can’t wait for you to see…

THE VIBE “We wanted to do something low-key and casual. Marriage, for us, was about our relationship and becoming a *legal* family, not about all the bells and whistles. I think it’s somewhat modern to do it at the registry, and yet traditional at the same time (stripping it back to what marriage is all about). It was important to me to get the best photographer (and boy, did we luck out with Kinship by Kristy!) as these photos will be with us forever.”

DIY “I designed my own wedding band, which Grew & Co brought to life – does that count as a DIY? Ha. My mum also drew our wedding invites, which I love so much.”

THE OUTFITS “I had three, ha! The first was a satin skirt and bandeau set from Khirzad Femme Our photographer, Kristy, got these amazing film close-ups of this outfit which I LOVE. My second outfit was the suit, which was a collaboration between Victoria Beckham and Mango. I mean, Posh could spruik anything and I would buy it, but this suit was perfection. By far my most favourite outfit of the day! Added bonus: I can wear it to work too! My third outfit was a dress by Christopher Esber. I wanted something a bit more fun for the luncheon. Anyone that knows me, knows I have a lot of fun with what I wear. This dress was an opportunity for me to do just that.”

LITTLE LOL “Cal pretty much forgot to ask his best mate, Lachie, to be his witness and, in typical male fashion, left it to the very last minute! I also think it’s kind of funny to just go get married casually during your baby’s awake window on a Wednesday afternoon!”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Decided to get the best possible photographer to document our micro wedding. We will have these photos – and memories – for our whole lives, and Kristy made the day look so elaborate and wonderful, when the reality is that we just signed the certificate in a 10-minute ceremony and had a lunch!”

Kinship by Kristy’s photography makes our hearts happy. See more from this talented lens lady and get in touch here. If micro weddings are your vibe, be inspired by a bunch more here.
