Both being doctors, Shalini and Surain have seen and done a lot. But planning a wedding was never one of them, so they decided to keep it simple. “We wanted a laid back informal wedding where our guests could mingle. We also wanted a big party with lots of dancing!” they told us.
Despite their best intentions however, they couldn’t resist undertaking some DIY projects. “The biggest project we took on were the handmade bags of tea in our favour bags. We (and our bridesmaid-slaves!) spent some long nights doing them. We’re still getting through the left-overs!” says Shalini, who looked so sweet in her J Crew gown.
Something else these two are still enjoying is their choice of venue. Held at Trunk Bar and Restaurant, their reception was as bright and joyful as them and provided a great setting for their pretty pictures by Fable & Fuss. The flowers by Katie Marx and her team were a highlight too, transforming the space into a day they’d always dreamed of.
