In Leicester, London there lives a very special lady named Mamie. “I knew I wanted to get married in England and from the very first time that Richie took me to his grandmother’s house I knew it was going to be the place!” says Samara of Mamie’s garden.
“We always wanted the wedding to be less of a formal occasion and more like a whimsical, intimate garden party that felt relaxed and organic”, says Samara who left her hometown in Queensland to be with Richie. “We decided that we couldn’t be apart so we did long distance between Brisbane and London for four months before I moved over to the UK to be with him. When something is right, it’s right!”
Shot by photographer Claudia Rose Carter their relaxed day had everything a bride and groom could need – beautiful flowers from Mamie’s garden and Brookside Nursery, an amazing cake by Peppercorn Catering, hola hoops, lawn games and an antique wooden dining table.
One our favourite details of the day was the bride and groom table! We used Richie’s grandmas little antique wooden dining table and it was just Richie and I who sat at it. It felt so special be able to share a little space between just the two of us..” says Samara who wore an off the shoulder, Grace Loves Lace gown. “When I saw the Josee dress I knew it was the one for me.”
