Morgan and Patrick’s Brisbane wedding was red-hot – a seamless blend of romantic elegance and bold, statement style. After a venue fire sadly disrupted their original plans, the couple found their dream setting at Brisbane’s newly renovated Naldham House – an inner-city oasis with moody lighting and bistro vibes that perfectly matched their New York/French-inspired theme. With the help of their trusted planner Katelyn from The Lussh, and a stellar vendor team, including the one-and-only Taylor Kezia on photos, Baker Boys Band in charge of their day was filled with intimate moments, incredible food and unique details that left guests raving.

A Perfect proposal in Paris

“Patrick proposed in the most romantic city of all – Paris. It was the first day of our nine-week Europe trip in July 2023. We were having a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower when he popped the question. After, we celebrated with French rosé and a baguette while FaceTiming our friends and family. It was perfect.”

Bringing New York & French Bistro Vibes to Naldham House

“We wanted a New York/French bistro vibe – think moody lighting, chrome accents, candlelit dinners and romantic red florals. Our menu was French-inspired, and our wedding cake was a croquembouche. We really wanted the atmosphere to feel intimate yet stylish. Our original venue, The Lussh, tragically burned down in October 2024. After that, we toured many Brisbane wedding venues, but most were booked on our date. Naldham House had just reopened after renovations, and the timing was perfect – we became their first wedding as a venue since it was the Polo Club. The blend of heritage exterior and unique internal styling felt just right. Plus, having the ceremony and reception in the same space was ideal.”

“I love my dress! It was so comfortable, I was able to commit to wearing it for the whole day instead of changing to a second dress. I booked Darb Bridal Couture to design and make my dress over a year in advanced and when I went to my first appointment Brad understood the vision straight away. The process was easy and fun! I loved that I added the subtle change by adding a neck scarf for the reception after removing my veil. It added another dimension and elevated the look without having change into a second dress.”

Suit Shopping at Institchu

“I got my suit made at InStitchu. I wanted to stand out from the groomsmen so I went for a deep blue jacket. InStichu was a one stop shop for my suit, shirt, bow tie and suspenders. I also got all the Groomsmen matching shirts made there. I wore my cufflinks that were passed down to me from my grandfather.”
