They say that home is where the heart is and there’s no place like it. Well, in this case home is where the wedding is and there’s none that compare to Blair and Isaaks. Isaak, a Whidbey Island (Washington, USA) native, wooed Blair when he first brought her to the island at the beginning of their relationship and she “fell in love with the spot”. After they were also engaged there, the island seemed like the ideal location for the couple’s nuptials, too.
We all have heard stories about those brides who are so preoccupied that they forget to enjoy their wedding day, right? Well, that wasn’t Blair. Though she admits that the day went by fast, she explains her favourite moment as “sharing intimate moments with our family and friends and partying late into the night. Oh! …and the food!” I guess that means Serendipity Catering did a great job, huh?
Don’t be fooled though – not every aspect of the planning process was stress-free. Finding the right dress presented some issues for the bride, but in the end Blair found her perfect match – and a fabulous dress to marry him in. “I had a really hard time finding something that suited my personality and aesthetic. I visited several bridal boutiques in Seattle and ordered three dresses off various designer sites online. I ended up with two but fell in love with a Monique Lhuillier from Shopbop. The second I tried it on i knew it was the dress for me. I wanted to be comfortable and elegant with a slight beachy vibe. It was perfect.”
