We promised we’d share this wedding with you one day, and that day ladies and gentlemen is finally here. If you’ve been with us for a while, you may recall our excitement after seeing their engagement shoot by Lakshal Perera (or Lucky as we like to fondly refer to him) who also captured these perfect pictures.
Back then Mel and Alex had been roaming the world in their beloved van Luna. Now, not a lot has changed except their relationship status. “The proposal was completely unexpected and could not have been more perfect. What followed was an 18 month planning period that was punctuated by four months overseas, so essentially, the majority of planning happened in the last 12 months”, says Mel.
Held at Jinks Creek Winery in Victoria, their day was a cocktail of country charm, natural beauty and a healthy dose of Scotland. Apart from realising there was a ring missing moments before the ceremony, their day went without a hitch. Dressed in an elegant, Mariana Hardwick gown, Mel tells us her favourite part of their wedding was “the kookaburras laughing on cue just as the celebrant had mentioned our capacity for laughter and its importance in a happy life together.”
