Set on having a vintage inspired celebration during winter, Lisa and Matt travelled to a number of venues before settling on Mount Lofty House in the Adelaide Hills. “The view of Mount Lofty was the draw card and once we were out on the helipad where the ceremony was, it literally took our breath away”, say this fun loving pair.
Setting the tone for their vintage glamour theme, Lisa wore a dress from The Vintage Bride Boutique with a DIY hair piece and old Hollywood style hair and makeup by Alkazar Salonnieres and Clare McCappin. “Lisa was pretty set on having a vintage dress and once the date and venue were set, everything else started falling into place”, says Matt who also looked the part in a plush velvet jacket.
“We really wanted to have an open fire, lots of food and wine, like a medieval feast. Once budget and everything got involved, our grand ideas started getting channeled into creative ways we could achieve what we wanted in an affordable way. It was great opening the invite to our guests to dress in a hint of vintage glamour, really helped set the mood.”
Captured by photographer Lucy Spartalis of She Takes Pictures He Makes Films, the most memorable part of their day was the ceremony, led by celebrant Emily Davis. Having quizzed both Lisa and Matt in the days beforehand, she delivered a heartfelt speech crafted from each of their answers. “Neither of us knew what the other had said until that moment, so it was a genuine surprise to hear it all.”

As the name suggests, this dynamic duo specialise in wedding photography and film are are pretty darn good at what they do.
