Apart from the wedding itself, Lisa and Daniel rank their proposal day as a top fave and we can see why! Celebrating New Year’s in Western Australia’s wine region, the love birds fluttered by helicopter to a private beach and “that’s where it happened!” “We then flew back and celebrated all night with nearest and dearest,” the now newlyweds added.
The big day itself was Italian-infused and, credit to Lisa and Daniel’s knack for finding the fun in wedding planning, they were cool as cucumbers, or should we say cannolis — the sweet these two served in lieu of cake — YUM.

THE VENUE “We always knew we wanted to get married in the southwest of WA as we spend lots of time there, and it really is so beautiful. We picked between three venues, but Credaro was our top pick. Finding dates was a struggle, but we’re so happy we ended up with our Easter Thursday date. Everyone stayed down for the whole long weekend and the vibes were holiday mode!”
THE VIBE “I wanted to pay homage to my Italian heritage, which fit beautifully with the Tuscan-inspired venue.”
FAVE DETAIL “Our favourite detail had to be our insane florals. Originally, we were going with a classic white theme, but as the bridesmaids’ dresses transformed, our florist (Signature Floral Design) used them as the inspiration for the colour pallet, and it could not have been more amazing!”
TALK ABOUT TRADITION “My grandma passed away six weeks before our wedding. I was always going to wear her veil, which she passed down to my mum, but it truly made it more special, and I felt like I had her there with me.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “To enjoy every moment, there’s so much pressure with people constantly asking if you’re stressed. I didn’t find it stressful at all, and we really had fun with it! We made sure that for every video call with a vendor, we’d have a bottle of wine and then order Uber Eats – I’ll always look back on planning so fondly — now time to find a hobby…”
WE’RE GLAD WE “I really liked having the mix of the strings during our cocktail hour and then the DJ during the reception. It felt like we had been transported to Italy and then to an epic party which is exactly what we wanted! I would say I wish we didn’t do guest congrats straight after the ceremony. It was a bit hectic with the amount of people, and I wish we had just snuck straight off! But in saying that, seeing the pictures, it was worth it!”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Our florist Annaliese. She left the florals a surprise, and it was SO worth it. She completely blew our minds. Emma, our photographer, was also incredible. She made the boys feel really comfortable which showed in the photos – our whole house is covered in incredible images that captured our day perfectly.”
