As if an earthquake didn’t already throw a big enough spanner in the works Linda tells us, £We also had a volcano erupt, tragically causing a few guests, including my brother, to be turned around mid-flight so they didn’t make the wedding. But despite these seriously untimely seismic shifts in the lead up to Linda and Brett’s wedding (first seen in the Real Wedding Special) the show, as the saying goes, went on.
Aptly named Lovefest’, this pair’s destination celebration certainly turned out that way with a £heart-busting love vibe and some English Staffy elements weaved in to incorporate their beloved pooch, Zeppelin. Cue the gold leaf Staffy drink stirrers, coasters and street art. Although Zeppelin couldn’t attend the celebration, we think it’s safe to say that he was definitely there in spirit.
A day inspired by the pastel window shutters of the well-known Indonesian restaurant Sea Circus, this wedding was full of colour and fun. Guests donned retro heart-shaped sunglasses beneath the bright bunting to beat the Bali heat, while Linda opted for her own splash of colour. Having chosen an ultramodern gold bridal gown custom made by Melbourne design house Jane Hill, Linda was over the moon she’d £found the one in her perfect dress and perfect mate, who was huge fan of the untraditional pick as well.
£Linda’s dress, WOW! I’d never been to a wedding where the bride hadn’t worn white so it was an amazing shock (in a great way). It was mainly a blur of emotion but from the photos I think I was clapping as she was walking down the aisle, says Ryan, who along with Linda, was ever-so grateful to be able to relive their wedding thanks to Nina Claire Photography.
£Nina Claire was awe-inspiring. She had incredible energy. She is a true artist and her lens is definitely an extension of herself. We were blown away by her photos and how she truly captured the vista, the Lovefest vibe and how much love was in the air, explain the couple, who found that, while Nina went unnoticed, not everyone was as stealthy as her.
That’s right, some gate-crashers from the neighbouring villa rocked up in their fluffy white robes ready to party, but the couple didn’t mind in fact, they just joined in on the rocking dance floor Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn style. It seems like no one could resist this Lovefest!
