We love this Australian country wedding with just a touch of the American Mid West. Bride Kirsty tells us “James proposed in the USA and while the wedding wasn’t themed per se, we had some strong American influences. These included my Cowboy Boots, purchased in Austin, Texas; the sweet country music and especially the all-out Southern American BBQ catering”. That dessert table alone looks worthy of any country fair!
A lot of the wedding was DIY with Kirsty telling us “I really enjoy making and collecting things, which meant I did go a little crazy on both those fronts in the lead up to the wedding. We had a lot of homemade desserts, but the wedding cake was my fave. It was homemade by my mum, my Nan and I, and was basically a stack of crepes, with cream and chestnut puree between the layers. It was delicious and looked great, fitting in perfectly with the general theme.”
The whole day was beautifully captured by Falcon Griffith and all the table settings and flower arrangements were also DIY too which impresses our socks off here in the Hello May office.
