Bride and groom Kat and Luke were quick to admit that they were pretty terrible at pinpointing the inspiration for their wedding. “I definitively broke the rules when it came to keeping to one theme, but I think it worked. I wanted it to be relaxed yet thoughtful with enough attention detail to make it feel like it had our special touch to the day.”
Held at The Willows in Melbourne, the pair had no trouble finding their ideal location which offered a boatload of charm and beauty. “The Willows is such a stunning venue in a mansion/garden setting I wanted to make the most of a charming winter garden vibe with plenty of foliage and romance,” says Kat, who threw caution to the wind by ordering her Fame & Partners gown online.
“I know – risky! Essentially my vision was long lace sleeves, as it was something I had always pictured myself in, I also wanted something that complimented my figure and didn’t add volume in places I don’t need it,” she explains, adding that many of their vendors, like Farrah Allan Photography and Open Booths were sure stars of the show.
“Chris from Open Booths graciously worked with us to find a package to suit our needs. They were very generous to us, truly going over and above to make sure we could have this extra element a part of our day. He was our booth attendant on the night and was so good – the photos were amazing!! Such fun memories, I would recommend them in a heartbeat.”
