Kaitlyn and Nasser set out to put on an ethereal garden party with a sprinkling of opulence, and they sure achieved it. Picture artfully airy florals, an oyster bar, historical architecture, pearl-adorned fruit decor and some of the best food guests have ever eaten. “We didn’t want to skimp on the things that we love and cherish in our lives day-to-day (food, wine and flowers!). I think the venue, being as beautiful as it is, already helped out.”

You can say that again. As soon as Kaitlyn and Nasser toured Terrara House’s pristine grounds, located in NSW’s South Coast, they knew it was the spot for them. The happy couple told us they were glad they stayed the night before the big day, and that the ceremony and reception were all at the one venue. “It really allows us to relax into the day and ease any nerves,” they explain.

As per usual, photographer Joeyy Lee has knocked our socks off with this wedding album. We’re pretty certain you’ll love it too. Go on, take a peek. You might pick up an idea or two (dozen) for your own ‘I do’s.

DRAPING, DISCO BALLS & FAVOURITE DECOR DETAILS

“[The] flowers: Nasser’s prompt for Pia & Jade for our ceremony was that he wanted to feel like we were in a flower garden. [They were also] able to move the ceremony florals to the reception, which allowed us to continue to feel like we were in that beautiful garden. Drinks: we had Limoncello spritz as one of the cocktails during cocktail hour, which was a lovely nod to the fun times we’ve had drinking them on holiday holidays with friends. Reception styling: one of our guests’ favourite details from the night was the fruit (such as grapefruit) cut into half with little pearl hearts placed on the flesh of the fruit. It was a little touch that added a lot of ‘wow’ to the night. Draping: Terrara House did the internal draping to the venue which softened the feel and look of the reception space. Lastly, our DJ brought a disco ball which added a lot of fun to the dance floor…”

FINDING THE DRESS

Marry Me Bridal was amazing… I really wanted a dress from Hera Couture, so while I was trying on dresses, one of their staff members rang the Hera Couture office (also located in Mosman) and asked if they had any more dresses for me to try on. This staff member then drove out to the office, picked up three wedding dresses and came back for me to try them on. The first one ended up being my wedding dress! I was so thankful to them, as they went above and beyond.”

A SERENDIPITOUS, SENTIMENTAL CEREMONY MOMENT

(Kaitlyn) “My favourite memory of the day was the ceremony… The sun came out through the clouds and shone right on us. There was also a butterfly floating around for the ceremony, which was so beautiful, as my sister was wearing a butterfly claw clip in her hair. We both think it was a symbol of my late father.”

STANDOUT SOUTH COAST WEDDING PROS

“.We really connected with our photographer (Joeyy Lee). She was so lovely [and] has been so lovely in the process afterwards as well. Our celebrant (Konnubials by Kiki) was also extremely helpful with writing our vows, doing check-in video calls, and coming up to Sydney to meet us before the wedding and for us to sign some paperwork (which was so exciting). The team at Terrara were phenomenal with answering emails, picking up packages from the post office, and even helping us with quantities for our alcohol order.”

Vegetarian Wedding Food

Simon Ekas killed it. So many people have asked who did our food for the wedding day. No one left hungry and some people said it was the best food that they’ve ever eaten! This is really important for me as, being a vegetarian, at someone else’s wedding I normally get the short end of [the] stick and don’t really have the best meal… They asked me what I wanted as my dream wedding meal and made it for me and the other vegetarians on the wedding day!”
