Orange is a severely underrated colour, and we have Jessica and Jack’s sweet nuptials to prove it! Mandarin, amber, apricot and tangerine, every tint and every tone managed to feature in this cracker of a day, and we ain’t mad about it. Engaged for four whole years, these two groovers had plenty of time to channel their love of vintage into one splendid day. Settling on a retro theme, the couple were stoked to have Chasing Moments Photography capturing details. Scroll down for a peek…

THE VENUE “My parents actually had their reception at the Texas Memorial Hall and it was also where we used to have our school concerts, New Years Eve parties, and other town events. So it meant a lot to me to have our wedding in my hometown, where my Grandmother is buried, and where I had so many great memories growing up.”

THE VIBE “Retro- think yellows, browns, greens and oranges. We hired a trailer and pretty much took all of our vintage furniture and knick-knacks to Texas to set up the wedding. It was a very 60’s/70’s vibe.”

DIY “Yes, the whole wedding was DIY! I had been drying flowers for months beforehand and these were used in the centrepieces on the tables. I made the napkins out of tablecloths. I also made all of the signs and my husband made the arbour for us to get married in front of.”

LITTLE LOL “I think the funniest thing was when the photographer made my dad do skids up and down the dirt road behind us while we got our photos taken. He loved it and it created some great pictures with the sun coming through the dust.”

WE’RE GLAD WE “I am so glad we kept to our budget and made the day very personal to us by incorporating our own vintage treasures.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Terra from Chasing Moments Photography. She drove 5+ hours the day before to come and take a look at the town and suss out some spots for photos. She was unreal and so easy to work with!”
