Nuptials are a natural habitat for newlyweds Jess (a photographer) and Ryan (a videographer), but you’ll typically find them behind the lens. This time, it was their turn to tie the knot, a role reversal they described as a bit of a “strange and crazy experience”.

Having seen a wedding or two(hundred) in their time as the creative duo behind Take Us With You Media, it’s no surprise their pair made some superb choices, like shopping wedding rings with The Moissanite Company or hosting at Woodburn Homestead – a spot oozing rustic charm.

Who do two camera-wielding pros entrust with capturing their “classic and simplistic” breaky ‘I do’s? Well, that would be Love Wild Weddings! Scroll on to take a squiz; there’s a lotta love and a lotta inspo below…

FAVE DETAILS “Honestly, every detail was just how we imagined; it was all perfect. Our ceremony was a standout for us; it was exactly how we wanted it, and to see that come to life was so special.”

THE VENUEWoodburn Homestead has always been a venue we loved. We have had lots of couples enquire with us to capture their wedding there, however we were always booked, so when we went and viewed it it felt like ours. It’s beautiful, and somewhere we had never worked which was special in a way.”

THE DRESS “I had always dreamt of going to try on dresses. I thought I would love so many that it would be hard to choose just one. I actually had the opposite experience. I took a couple of girls to try on dresses, and none were for me. I jumped online a few weeks later because I didn’t want to go try on anymore, and I had an idea of what I wanted. Online, I fell in love with a Shona Joy dress. I purchased it online, and when It arrived, it was perfect. I couldn’t have been more happy and comfortable.”

THE SUIT “The first suit I tried on was the one. I got basically my entire outfit from Jenny and Gerry’s Bridal, and the whole process was so effortless. They got all my measurements and tailored it to the perfect fit.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “It would have to be seeing all of our loved ones in one space, our sunset photo session, and then just an early night chatting together about the day.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Have the wedding that you want. Weddings all look so different these days, so just do it how you want to and really enjoy quality time together throughout the day. It’s all in the small moments.”
