While on a five week holiday to South America over Christmas, Dan had surprised her with a private driver and a tango lesson at their hotel. “I spun around and he was down on one knee with the ring!! It was so romantic!!!”
Going for a Gatsby theme, Jayne and Dan opted for a black tie event complete with a champagne tower and old world glamour feel. With hopes of finding an ultra glam private property to hold their day, it took this pair a year to find the right location. “We almost looked at every venue in Victoria & we were so lucky to find The Melba Estate last minute- as soon as we walked through the hedges we knew it was the perfect venue for us,” Jayne tells us, adding that the flowers were her favourite detail from the day.
“Cecilia Fox brought our vision to life of lush green foliage, orchids and white peonies to life – I will never forget seeing my bouquet for the first time – I was in love with it,” says the bride, who wore a gorgeous One Day Bridal gown and veil.
“I went shopping just to get ideas and fell in love with it! I bought it 18 months out from the wedding which was risky but I still absolutely love it! The girls at One Day Bridal were amazing – they made my experience so special.”
Captured by Beck Rocchi Photography, the couples tells us that they were extremely lucky with the weather on the day… but not so lucky with their champagne tower. “We popped the cork for our champagne tower together (it was our version of cutting the cake), but accidentally hit a guest with the cork! No serious injury luckily!”
