As soon as we met this gorgeous couple, we knew they were one of us. “We really just wanted to have a celebration with our family and friends and keep fuss to a minimum”, they said when asked about the inspiration behind their special day.
Nonetheless they certainly managed to tick all the boxes – a stunning venue, great food, live music and plenty of quality wine, all perfectly captured by talented photographer Jessica Tremp from Brown Paper Parcel, who’s also featured in issue four of Hello May on sale now!
“We were married late in the afternoon at The Hill Winery, Geelong and held the reception immediately after at the cellar door”, said Erin who looked flawless in her beautifully embellished, Rachel Gilbert gown. After the ceremony, guests drank wine from tea cups that the couple had carefully collected from op shops around Victoria before heading to the reception to enjoy a gourmet barbeque, more wine and last but not least, the cake!
Created by Sticky Fingers Bakery in Melbourne, rumour has it these guys rock – literally. Believing that baking and music go hand in hand, no filling or frosting is ever made without some great beats thrown into the mix. All their ingredients, where possible, are organic and sourced from local producers, plus each delivery arrives with a list of songs that helped your cake come to life.
