Both pilots by trade, it’s no wonder that Chelsea and Shawn got engaged in the sky.
“Shawn took me up in a helicopter and landed on a plateau outside of Las Vegas. We watched the sunset over the Las Vegas strip and Sean asked me to spend the rest of his life with him. Then he pulled a ring out of his pocket and put it on my finger. Even though I was totally shocked, I said without hesitation, absolutely!”
Obviously avid travelers, this duo opted for a destination wedding in Iceland planned by Elopement Collective. “A destination wedding was ideal for us. Iceland was a place that neither of us had been to and we didn’t know much about it. That’s what made it so enticing that we were discovering a new place together,” explains Chelsea, who hired photographer Heart and Colour and cinematographer Roost Film Co to capture the day.
With all of the planning thanks to Elopement Collective, it’s no wonder that this pair advises other couples to “make it personal to you, do it your way”. They go on, “we are both firm believers in the KISS (keep it simple stupid) philosophy. So since the elopement collective did everything for us, we didn’t have to worry about anything and we just enjoyed our day.”
